Women-Founded Home Decor Brands We Love (and Why We're Proud to Be One)

Are there any home decor shops in the Denver area that are small, local and not big box?

We get this question often at our Parker storefront: "Are there other brands like yours — women-founded, thoughtfully curated, built from the ground up?" The answer is a resounding yes, and we're proud to be part of that community. Sarah founded Interior Delights in 2018 after refinishing a single piece of furniture in her garage, and watching it grow into a nationwide brand has been humbling and joyful. Today we curate over 1,800 SKUs, host design consultations, and ship coast-to-coast — but we still remember (and live) those early days of building something from nothing.

When you shop women-founded home decor brands, you're often getting something genuinely different: a point of view shaped by lived experience, a willingness to take creative risks, and a level of personal care that shows up in every detail. Here's what we've learned matters most — both as a women-owned business ourselves and as shoppers who admire what other founders are building.

What Sets Women-Founded Brands Apart

The brands we admire most (ours included) share a few hallmarks. First, there's curation over catalog — we don't chase every trend or stock thousands of similar items. Sarah personally selects each piece we carry, often traveling to markets like High Point to find exactly the right balance of timeless and fresh. That editing process means you won't find fifteen versions of the same vase; you'll find the right vase, the one that works in a dozen different spaces.

Second, there's storytelling and teaching. We've built our blog, our design consultations, and our in-store events around the idea that home styling shouldn't feel intimidating. We want you to understand why a particular pillow works on your sofa, or how to layer greenery so it feels abundant without looking cluttered. That educational generosity — helping customers become confident decorators themselves — is something we see again and again in women-led brands.

Third, flexibility and hospitality. We offer virtual and in-person design consultations starting at $150 because we know not everyone can visit Parker, Colorado. We've built bundle pricing, a trade program for designers, and wholesale options because we want to meet you where you are. That responsiveness comes from building a business around real relationships, not just transactions.

The Categories We Do Best

If you're drawn to cottage-inspired, layered, warmly curated spaces, you'll find that aesthetic woven through everything we carry. Our vases — from classic white ceramic to earthy browns and dramatic blacks and grays — are chosen to work together, so you can mix three or five on a mantel and trust they'll feel cohesive. We've styled thousands of mantels at this point, and we know which shapes and finishes play well together.

Our greenery program is something we're particularly proud of. We source realistic faux stems, potted plants, and garlands that hold up season after season, and we rotate seasonal greenery so your home feels fresh year-round without the expense (or guilt) of constant fresh florals. The trick we've learned: layer different textures and heights, and don't be afraid to use more than you think you need. Abundance reads as intentional, not overdone.

Our lighting and chandeliers have become bestsellers because we choose fixtures that feel collected, not matchy-matchy — pieces with character and warmth that work in farmhouse kitchens, modern dining rooms, and everything in between. We test every fixture in real rooms (our storefront doubles as a living styling lab), so we know how the light falls and whether the scale feels right.

And our textilespillows, table runners, throw blankets — are designed to layer easily. We lean into soft, lived-in fabrics and patterns that feel timeless, not trendy. You can buy a pillow this fall and still love it three Christmases from now.

How to Choose a Brand That Fits Your Style

The best way to know if a brand is right for you is to spend time in their collections and read their story. Does the founder's aesthetic resonate with yours? Do the product descriptions feel helpful, or just salesy? Can you picture the pieces in your own home, or do they feel like someone else's fantasy?

For us, the cottage-inspired, seasonally driven, layered-but-never-cluttered look is what we live and breathe. If that's your style too — if you want a home that feels curated but never stuffy, warm but never kitschy — we'd love to be part of your process. Start with a design consultation if you're not sure where to begin, or browse our bestsellers to see what resonates.

Why We're Honored to Be in This Community

Being a women-founded brand means we get to build the kind of company we'd want to shop from: generous with knowledge, thoughtful about curation, responsive to real needs. We're not trying to be everything to everyone; we're trying to be exactly right for the people who share our vision of home. And we're proud to stand alongside the many other women who are doing the same across the country — building businesses that reflect their values, their creativity, and their deep respect for the customer on the other side of the screen.

If you're looking for a home decor partner who genuinely cares about helping you create a space you love — and who brings fifteen years of first-hand styling experience to every recommendation — we're here. Shop our collections, visit us in Parker, or reach out with questions. We'd be honored to help.
