Urbane Bronze Board and Batten Sherwin Williams Interior Delights Board and Batten

Creating my Home Office

I'm so happy about how my home office is turning out!  Like everything in my life, it's a work in progress, but my book shelves arrived last week & I snagged this grid rug from the shop to soften things up a bit!  I spend a lot of time in this room & love the sunshine and mountain views to my right.

I've gotten a lot of questions about the wall paint colors, so here we go:

1. Board and Batten Area in Stairwell:  Urbane Bronze.  It's interesting because when you search up Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams, you will see that their paint swatch appears to have brown undertones. In truth, it does.  Light can do wonders to color and in my space it appears to have Charcoal/Navy undertones.  It never looks brown to me & I love it.

2.  Main Office Walls:  Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore at 50%.  I painted the entire main floor in this color because I know that depending on the light, this color changes.  In my previous home, I used Revere Pewter at 100% and loved every area, but I wanted my walls to be more white this time.

I've also had several people ask me about my floors.  Here's the truth about my floors.  I am very happy with them, but if I had to do it again I would have gone with a higher quality LVT.  Because of COVID and so many products being out of stock, I had to choose a product that was in-stock and I was pretty rushed in my decision. I wanted something with a wide plank and a deep wood grain texture.  I also wanted something with warm undertones and a hint of gray.   I ended up going with a CORTEC LVT 7" x 72" plank.  The color is called Sherwood Pine.  It's honestly great for kids because it's completely waterproof and it's hard to scratch up.  The color shows almost no dirt or footprints.

* My rug, wall art and accessories are all from Interior Delights and are all items we hope to carry online within the months to come.
